Familiarity and intimacy are the emotions Vasco’s song immediately evoked in me. This is why I set the music video in Collegiove, the village where I grew up. As I was thinking about this video, I immediately envisioned Elio Germano wandering the streets where I used to play and from which I eventually strayed. Vasco’s words hold the essence of things we lost forever and at the same time the awareness of what we were able to reconnect with. This is why the day I saw Elio and Vasco walking together in the alleyways of my village enveloped in the mist, I was moved. In the music video, I tried to contain this emotion out of fear of losing it, restoring it later, little by little, using it almost as a cure for that ancestral pain that only beautiful music from the soul can evoke.
